Soft flowers, garden portraits and a colourful evening celebration

Sorcha and William’s wedding photographs move from soft window light and pastel flowers to the gardens and rooms of Castle Durrow. It’s a beautiful setting, with plenty of space in the collection for the people and expressions around them.

There are lovely contrasts throughout: the scale of the church, a close portrait among the greenery, laughter at the tables and the colour of the evening lights.

Flowers, silk and the morning preparations

The opening details bring together the dress, jewellery and a bouquet with soft touches of blue, pink and cream. The pale bridesmaid dresses sit beautifully alongside those colours.

Window light and mirrors frame Sorcha’s preparations, with glasses being poured and smiles around the room. William’s black tie portraits add a classic touch, alongside the final adjustments and group photographs outside.

A church full of light

The church photographs give the ceremony a wonderful sense of scale. The arches and long aisle frame the wider views, while the closer photographs follow the couple and their guests.

Children at the entrance, hugs during the ceremony and a raised bouquet at the doorway all add to the story. A few portraits inside make the most of the setting before the collection moves on.

Portraits around Castle Durrow

The wedding car, stone steps and gardens give the portraits a varied backdrop. We move between wider frames of the house and closer moments with Sorcha and William among the flowers.

Inside, the long windows and darker doorways create a softer, more dramatic feel. The family and wedding-party photographs bring everyone back together outside the house.

Laughter around the tables

The reception room brings another layer of colour and detail, with flowers, mirrors and the wedding cake. The entrance photographs are full of smiles, and the speeches have some wonderful reactions from the couple and their guests.

Then the evening lights change the mood completely. From dancing together to a floor full of guests and bright glow sticks, the last photographs are full of movement.

Sorcha and William, thank you for having us capture your day.
