Soft colours, sunshine in the gardens and a joyful evening
Emma and Michaela’s wedding at Ballymagarvey Village has a beautiful softness to it: pale flowers, warm neutral colours and sunlight falling across the gardens. Their photographs bring together elegant portraits and a celebration full of expression.
From the preparations to the dance floor, there are lovely moments between the two of them and the people around them. It’s a collection with plenty of warmth.
A soft palette for the morning
The details are beautifully coordinated, from the pale tailoring and delicate shoes to the cream flowers. The dress hanging against the timber lattice makes a lovely opening photograph, with greenery around it.
The preparations gave us smiles at the mirror, careful finishing touches and a hug on the sofa. We used the window light for a few quieter portraits before the ceremony.
The ceremony at Ballymagarvey
Stone walls, flowers and chandeliers framed the ceremony, with Emma and Michaela seated close together. The photographs catch their expressions, the readings and the little gestures between them.
Their kiss and the raised hands as they came back out make a lovely finish to this part of the story. The wider frames keep their guests in the picture too.
Sunlight around the village
Outside, the gardens and old stonework gave us plenty of variety. The white doorway, the stone garden entrance and the open courtyard each brought a different shape to the portraits.
We mixed wider photographs in the sunshine with closer moments together. A kiss by the house, a hand resting at a shoulder and movement in the veil all have their place alongside the more composed frames.
A room ready to celebrate
The photographs with their guests bring smiles and hugs against the backdrop of the house and gardens. Inside, the heart-shaped cake and flowers add more of their personal details to the story.
There are some wonderful reactions during the speeches before the dancing begins. With lights glowing above the floor, the final photographs are full of movement and celebration.
