Colourful city portraits, a beautiful church and a champagne tower

Chelsey and Nathan’s wedding has a wonderful city feel. Black tie, pink flowers and green dresses meet ornate church interiors, leafy paths and bold red doors before the celebrations at The Grayson.

The photographs are full of little changes in mood: soft light during the preparations, a quiet embrace in the park, then champagne glasses and a crowd gathered around the stairs. Dublin gives the story plenty of variety.

The morning in the city

White sunglasses, sparkling shoes and pink flowers set the tone in the detail photographs. Around them, the morning was full of smiles, finishing touches and glasses raised together.

The window light gave us some lovely portraits of Chelsey with her bouquet. The black tie photographs add another side to the preparations, with the city visible beyond the glass.

A richly detailed ceremony setting

The church was a beautiful backdrop, with patterned walls, columns and a richly decorated apse. The wide photographs show its scale, while the closer frames keep the story with Chelsey and Nathan.

There are lovely expressions during the vows and signing, a kiss across the pews with a guest, and Chelsey raising her bouquet as they walk back down the aisle.

A little walk through Dublin

The portraits take us from the church into the greenery and back onto the city streets. We used shaded paths for the softer photographs, then brought the colour back with the red doors and the umbrellas overhead.

A turn of the dress, hands held together and a reflection on the pavement all add something different. The city photographs feel lively, with quieter moments tucked in between.

Celebrating at The Grayson

At The Grayson, warm lights and dark interiors brought a different atmosphere to the evening photographs. Guests gathered around the stairs, glasses were raised and Chelsey and Nathan poured the champagne tower together.

There’s plenty of personality in the final frames: a playful lift, conversations with their guests and a guitar appearing among the celebrations. A lovely way to finish their city wedding story.

Chelsey and Nathan, thank you for having us along to photograph it.
