Red roses, coastal portraits and a candlelit celebration
Christmas trees, deep red roses and black tie set the tone for Aisling and Hugh’s wedding in Doolin. The photographs have a lovely festive warmth, with a very different mood outside on the coast.
Their gallery moves from the preparations and church ceremony to sweeping cliffs, a cosy stop indoors and a lively evening celebration. Through it all, there are wonderful expressions from both of them.
A festive start
The morning details brought the colours of the day together: red and ivory roses, burgundy dresses and the Christmas tree glowing in the background. There were glasses being filled, finishing touches at the mirror and little moments with the children.
Hugh’s black tie preparations gave us a clean contrast to all that colour. The photographs of the men walking outside add a sense of the surrounding landscape before the ceremony.
Christmas at the church
Inside the church, the Christmas tree and stained glass framed the ceremony. The children’s walk up the aisle, the guests looking on and Aisling and Hugh laughing together give the sequence so much warmth.
The confetti outside and the wave from the wedding car make a lovely finish to this part of the day.
From the coast to a cosy corner
The coastal portraits have a completely different feel: open water, high cliffs and movement in Aisling’s dress and veil. We kept the landscape in the wider frames, then moved closer to the two of them.
Indoors, the warm wood, mirrors and bar lights gave us another setting to work with. A shared drink, a kiss and a pair of heart-shaped sunglasses bring a playful touch to this part of the collection.
Candlelight and a full dance floor
Candles and red roses carried the festive atmosphere into the reception. The photographs catch raised hands on the way in, smiles across the tables and some lovely reactions during the speeches.
Then the dance floor filled up. From the first turns together to the crowd gathering around them, the evening photographs have a wonderful energy.
Aisling and Hugh, thank you for having us capture your wedding. There’s so much to enjoy looking back through these photographs.
